Identity, Discrimination and Belonging
Our sense of who we are , our identity, is shaped by many factors, including gender, sexuality, culture, and neurodivergence. I believe everyone has the right to be seen, heard, and treated with fairness and respect. Therapy provides a safe, compassionate space to explore your identity, experiences of difference, and your sense of belonging.

Exploring Your Identity and Belonging

-
Gender, sexuality, and other aspects of identity
-
Neurodivergence and how it shapes daily life and relationships
-
Experiences of discrimination, marginalisation, or exclusion
-
Feelings of disconnection or difficulty finding a sense of belonging

I help clients notice patterns of masking, people-pleasing, or self-judgment, and explore ways to reconnect with their authentic self.
Discrimination and Anti-Racism

I recognise that experiences of bias, exclusion, or systemic inequality can impact wellbeing profoundly. I see anti-racism and anti-discrimination as active practices, noticing and challenging bias in myself, in others, and in society, and supporting clients to explore how these dynamics shape their experiences.

I aim to provide a space where experiences of discrimination, whether based on race, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, or other aspects of identity are acknowledged, validated, and explored safely.
Finding a Sense of Belonging

I believe belonging is about being accepted and connected both to yourself and to others.

-
Explore what belonging truly means to you
-
Notice ways you may be disconnecting from yourself or others
-
Reconnect with your communities, relationships, or aspects of identity that feel safe and supportive
-
Build self-acceptance and inner support
My Experience with Identity and Belonging

I have personally navigated the challenges of trying to fit into societal expectations, masking in a neurotypical world, and wondering where I truly belong. These experiences inform my work, helping me empathise with clients who feel disconnected, misunderstood, or pressured to conform.

I bring these insights alongside my professional awareness of social justice, equality, and inclusion. I aim to create a space where your identity, including gender, sexuality, cultural background, and neurodivergence, is honoured and validated.
