My Approach

I work relationally, noticing what is happening between us in the therapy room in the here and now. Paying attention to what emerges within our relationship can offer insight into recurring behaviours and relational patterns, helping you build awareness of how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

I see you as a unique individual with an innate capacity for growth, self-awareness, and fulfilment. I believe therapy can be a way of finding your way back to yourself.

The way we speak to ourselves and relate to others can shape how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and our lives. Together, we can explore where your beliefs and patterns may have come from, and gently uncover the fears, needs, and experiences that sit beneath them. I support you in your journey of self-exploration and discovery, helping you move towards greater understanding, self-acceptance, and personal growth.

I may bring creativity, playfulness, or outdoor sessions in nature into our work if this feels supportive, offering fresh perspective while honouring the protective wisdom of the strategies that have helped you cope. Through this process, clarity can grow, helping you trust yourself more deeply and make choices that feel meaningful.

Mind, Body, and Environment

My work is rooted in the belief that the body and mind are deeply connected.

Drawing from my background as a bodyworker, I support you in listening not only to your thoughts, but also to the wisdom held within your body. Together we may explore physical sensations, emotions, and the ways your body communicates experiences that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.

By bringing awareness to the connection between body and mind, therapy can help you deepen your understanding of yourself, process past experiences, and create space for new ways of being.

I work both inside and outside of the therapy room, recognising the connection between ourselves and the wider world around us. Nature can offer grounding, perspective, and space for reflection, and where appropriate I may invite this into our work through eco-therapy or outdoor sessions.

I believe healing begins with safety and trust. From this foundation, growth can happen gently, allowing space to explore your relationship with yourself, your environment, and the meaning you make of your life.

My Journey Into This Work

I came to this work through both professional and personal experience. My career as a professional dancer and Pilates practitioner gave me a deep appreciation for the connection between mind and body, and for how emotions, stress, and life experiences can be held in breath, posture, and movement. Over time, I became curious about the stories beneath these patterns, which led me to train as a psychotherapist.

Alongside this, navigating my own experiences of belonging, my relationship to my body, anxiety, life transitions, loss, and discovering my neuro-divergent way of processing, along with the adaptations I made to move through environments not designed for me, has profoundly shaped how I work.

I know how powerful it can be to have a space where you feel truly heard and welcomed as you are. My work is grounded in the belief that mind and body are inseparable, and that meaningful change happens when we attend to both.

Professional Experience

I have experience staffing the Women in Power programme, supporting women to reclaim their voice, and working as a counsellor at St Peter and St James’ Hospice, supporting people with life-limiting illness, their carers, and the bereaved.

I am also a Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Practitioner and Director of V Pilates Studio, a bespoke integrative holistic studio using specialist equipment. Alongside this, I work as an educator and mentor to Polestar Pilates students and graduates within teacher training programmes. You can find out more about V Pilates Studio here.
