Anxiety, Stress, Overwhelm & Low Mood
Life can sometimes feel heavy, chaotic, or exhausting. Anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and low mood can show up as racing thoughts, tension in the body, constant worry, or a sense of being stuck. I know how disorienting it can feel when your mind and body are under pressure, and I believe these experiences deserve care, understanding, and space. Counselling provides a safe place to explore these feelings without judgment, to notice what is happening for you, and to find ways to live with more ease and self-compassion.

Understanding Anger and Emotional Overwhelm

I feel compassion for clients who fear their emotions will overwhelm them. I understand that behaviours such as distraction or withdrawal can be ways your mind or body is protecting a vulnerable part of yourself, doing the best it can to survive. I help you to notice these patterns with curiosity and gentleness, and explore what unmet needs may lie beneath the surface.

A Space to Be Met

I offer support for anyone who:

-
Feels anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, or low in mood
-
Struggles with emotional intensity or fears being “too much”
-
Wants to explore how thoughts, feelings, and body sensations interact
-
Seeks a safe, compassionate space to process emotions and build resilience

I may invite you to notice your inner and outer sensations in the “here and now,” using approaches from Gestalt and formative psychology. This can include gentle experiential exercises, reflection, or creative practices where words don’t always fit. Everything is done at your pace and readiness, always guided by empathy, curiosity, and safety.

My Experience of Anxiety, Stress, Overwhelm and Low Mood

I understand what it is to feel overwhelmed or anxious, to notice tension building in the body, or to struggle with persistent low mood. These experiences inform my work with clients, offering empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental presence. I am mindful that every client’s experience is unique, and I aim to create a space where your emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations can be explored safely.
