My Approach

I work relationally noticing what is going on between us “live” in the therapy room in the “here and now',  offering an opportunity for insight into recurring behaviours and relational patterns, enhancing present moment awareness, embodied experiences and connection to your environment.

I see you as a unique individual with an innate drive to reach your own potential with the capacity for growth, self awareness and fulfilment. I believe therapy is finding a way home to oneself.

The way we talk to ourselves and relate to others can have a significant impact on our experience of ourselves, our lives and our world.  Together we can explore where your beliefs and ways of thinking come from and what the fears and needs are behind these. I support and guide you on your journey of self exploration and discovery working towards your personal goals.

I may bring creativity, playfulness, or outdoor sessions in nature into our work if you wish, offering fresh perspective while honouring the protective wisdom of the strategies that have helped you cope. From this, self-acceptance and clarity can grow, helping you trust your inner knowing and make choices that feel meaningful.

Mind, Body, and Environment

My work is rooted in the belief that the body and mind are inseparable. Drawing from my background as a bodyworker I help you listen not just to your thoughts, but to your body's innate wisdom, observing your physical sensations and emotions and how you express yourself through the language of your body.

By bringing the body, mind and soul into integration, it’s possible to dissolve old stories, bring glimmers of grounding resources and open a portal to embodied growth.

I work both inside and outside the therapy room recognising the interdependence of everything that exists. I foster embodiment as a central axis of our existence and believe this process builds on safety and trust for growth to metabolise. I may offer to explore through nature the realities that are much bigger than we are, deepening perspectives through a larger ecological awareness taking the field wider, to discover your relationship with your existence and explore meaning into your life.

My Approach

About me

I trained and qualified as a Humanistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist with Homa London, with 744 hours of face to face training, a course deeply rooted in the practice of social justice. Homa is a relational programme rooted in humanistic values, where lived experience is valued as much as theoretical knowledge. Training covers Gestalt, Person-Centred approaches, Transactional Analysis, Formative Psychology, as well as embodied practices including movement, Eco-therapy, and art-based work. Social justice and equity are central to the programme, equipping me to create an ethically present, inclusive space.

I am a Registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and as such abide by their Ethical Framework.

I came to this work through both professional and personal experience. My career as a professional dancer and Pilates practitioner gave me a deep appreciation for the mind body connection and how emotions, stress, and life experiences are held in breath, posture, and movement. Over time, I became curious about the stories beneath these patterns, which led me to train as a psychotherapist.

Alongside this, navigating my own experiences of belonging, relationship to my body, anxiety, life transitions, loss, and discovering my neurodivergent way of processing, and the adaptations I made to navigate environments not designed for me, has profoundly shaped how I work.

I know how powerful it can be to have a space where you feel truly heard and welcomed as you are. My work is grounded in the belief that mind and body are inseparable, and meaningful change happens when we attend to both.

I have experience staffing the Women in Power programme, supporting women to reclaim their voice, and as a counsellor at St Peter and St James' Hospice supporting people with life-limiting illness, their carers, and the bereaved.

I am a Polestar Pilates comprehensive practitioner and director of my own V Pilates Studio, a bespoke integrative holistic studio using the specialist equipment. I am also an Educator and experienced mentor to Polestar Pilates students and graduates on the teacher training programmes. Find out more about V Pilates Studio here â€‹
